Privacy Policy
In short: BixoPDF runs entirely on your computer. It does not collect, send or sell any personal information, and your documents never leave your PC.
The BixoPDF app
- Your documents stay on your PC. Opening, editing, OCR (text recognition), compression and saving all happen on your computer. Nothing is uploaded to us or to anyone else.
- No account, no tracking. The app has no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics and no telemetry of its own. It does not connect to the internet to work.
- What is stored locally. To remember your preferences, the app keeps a few files in your Windows user folder (
%APPDATA%\BixoPDF): window layout and settings, the list of recently opened files, the signatures and stamps you save for reuse, and the contents pages it has read for bookmarks. These stay on your PC; you can delete them at any time, and they are removed when you uninstall the app. - The author name. If you enter an author name in Settings, it is written into the annotations you add to your PDFs, as other PDF programs do. It is not sent anywhere.
- Purchases and updates are handled by Microsoft Store. Microsoft processes the payment and the download under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We do not receive your payment details. Windows may send Microsoft diagnostic data about apps according to your Windows settings; that is outside the app's control.
This website
- This site (www.bixopdf.com) uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising.
- It is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may log visitors' IP addresses for security and to operate the service.
- The page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers when you open a page (see the Google Privacy Policy).
If you write to us, we use your email address and what you send only to answer you. We keep the correspondence no longer than needed to help you and do not share it.
Children
BixoPDF collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new effective date.
